ROOTS AND WINGS

VISUALIZATION ON NETWORKING

For the publication Brainsbook on Networking I assigned myself the visualization of my own network. I have lived in several places. My social network is therefore geographically pretty wide in space. So in the map width is an important parameter (even if not a world wide width). Height comes into question now: the height of the tree is the time I spent somewhere. But what about depth of relationships? This could be represented by roots, the deeper the roots, the stronger the human connections in that place.
Each one of the several stays strongly related to a different part of me. So in the end the map of my geographical world translates into a map of my identity. Quoting Bert Hellinger: without roots, we can’t fly.
